Session of CIS Chiefs of General Staffs confirms military cooperation prospects

CIS General Staffs are to cooperate in the field of unmanned aviation. The agreement was reached in course of Session of CIS Chiefs of General Staffs in Kazan.

According to the Chief of the Russian General Staff General of the Army Valery Gerasimov, the session participants supported cooperation in the field of unmanned aviation as well as countering unmanned aerial vehicles.

Moreover, the session participants discussed experience gained by the Russian Armed Forces during the military operation in the Syrian Arab Republic in the field of using unmanned aviation.

“This session confirmed that cooperation of CIS countries had good prospects and allowed to operate in wild scale of directions together,” stated Valery Gerasimov.

Representatives of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kirgizia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan arrived to take part in the session of CIS Chiefs of General Staff Committee in Kazan.
